Meet the Trainer (and Fenrir)
Hello my name is Kelly Farley, and I am the staff
dog trainer here at Mancuso’s Country Lane Pet Hotel & Training
Center. I received my diploma in Dog Obedience Instruction from Penn Foster
Career School in 2006 and I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers
with over two years of professional experience handling dogs. My personal life
has been graced by the presence of eight dogs of various sizes and
personalities, and for me, dog training is not just a career, but a passion in
my life. That is why I continually stay informed on new methods and equipment
available to help solve behavioral problems using the most efficient and “dog
friendly” methods.
My style of training does not use gimmicks, such as treats
or clickers, but instead relies on the basis of what forms a strong bond
between owner and dog; lots of positive praise! I feel a strong bond between
canine and human is the essential ingredient to a great relationship that lasts
for life. In my training sessions, I will teach you how to communicate to your
dog what you would like him/her to do so that you may form a bond in the way
your dog understands.
