Meet Our Groomers!

Gayle

My name is Gayle and I am the groomer at Country Lane Pet Hotel. I am married with three grown children, and fur children consisting of two dogs and one cat. My husband says I spend too much time on my phone looking at dogs but that is because I am always learning how to perfect my craft!

I started grooming late in life. Seven years ago I was hired at a grooming facility as a groomer in training. Little did I know then that it would become my passion!

AS a groomer, it is important to me to continue to learn and improve my craft. I have been doing this by attending in-person & online classes. In my quest of continuing my education; the two areas that interest me most are skin care and keeping up with the latest trends.

I feel very fortunate to be at Country Lane Pet Hotel for several reasons. Chris, the owner, is such a supportive boss and the staff are fabulous. We have many wonderful clients who trust us with their dogs. Chris has often said "We do it the Mancuso way" meaning we treat your dogs like we'd treat our own. This truly resonates with my own values. Your dogs safety and comfort always comes first.

Jessica

Jessica began working at Country Lane in 2019. She started her journey with us as a pet care technician taking care of our hotel and daycare guests. During this time she expanded her dog handling skills and began to develop deep bonds with many of our clients.

In 2021 Jessica began working alongside Gayle as an assistant groomer. At this time, she expanded her knowledge of dog care by learning proper bathing and brushing skills. Jessica washed, dried, and combed guests while Gayle created the finished product with her vast scissor and clipper work.

In 2022, Jessica was promoted to Country Lane's second full-time staff groomer. Primarily, Jessica works with short or long coated dogs that do not require any clipper or scissor work. Instead, she specializes in furminator treatments for heavy shedding breeds.

Jessica has a Shiba Inu and German Shepherd of her own. In her spare time, she enjoys learning and teaching dog training. Her passion for training is shown through her German Shepherd, Athena, that Jessica has successfully trained as a service dog.
